GREENLEAF GUESTHOUSE
Greenleaf Guesthouse is the perfect budget accommodation choice for those wanting to visit Khao Yai National Park.
Khao Yai is roughly 180km from Bangkok and twenty minutes drive from the town of Pak Chong. Visiting Khao Yai from Pak Chong is only possible if you have you own transport. Most visitors choose to stay near the parks northern gate at one of a few guesthouses or resorts on the main road toward the park.
We chose to stay at Greenleaf as they also provide great value tours into Khao Yai as well as a free pick-up and drop off service to Pak Chong. When we called Greenleaf tours, it took them less than 5 minutes to have a car waiting outside our hotel in Pak Chong, ready to take us to their guesthouse! Service with a smile!

Greenleaf Guesthouse offers 21 simple rooms, all with private bathroom, comfortable bed and a fan. The rooms are basic but sufficient as most visitors only stay here for the purpose of doing a tour into the National Park.
You can read all about our tour into Khao Yai National Park in our tour review here. The guesthouse is run by a friendly family who are also the tour guides and drivers. Upon our arrival the staff sat us down and showed us through a photo album of some fantastic shots of wildlife and plants that can be found in Khao Yai. They explained their tours in detail and then showed us to our room. The guesthouse also offers a small menu of great value meals and there is a service station 400m down the road for any other necessities you may need. |
Overall, we had an excellent experience with Greenleaf. The accommodation is basic but perfect for anyone doing a tour with them and also a great place to meet other travellers who are also going into the National Park.
