BOSS & BENZ HOUSE
Boss & Benz is one of the best value rooms we have experienced so far in South East Asia. While the place itself is nothing fancy, it is good value for Krabi and everything you need for a short stay. The owners are absolutely delightful and from my first introduction, I was greeted by name every time I saw them.
Even though I had pre booked the room, the owner still took me up to inspect it and check that I was happy with it before checking me in. The room itself is exactly what should be expected from a budget guesthouse room in Thailand. Super basic with two single beds, two fans and a small side table with mirror. It is far from fancy but you get what you pay for.
The shared bathrooms are clean however strangely, the owners don’t provide toilet paper. I was lucky enough to read this from another review prior to arriving so came equipped however I’m sure people are caught out all the time!

The location is convenient for a short stay in Krabi. I stayed purely to visit the night markets and Boss & Benz was in the perfect location for this. Located down a small side street just off the main road, it was only a short 5 minute walk to the markets and main shopping area of Krabi.
Chao Fah Pier, where the longtail boats depart for island tranfers and day trips is only 10 minutes walk away and there is plenty of parking in front of the hostel if you are coming with your own car or scooter. There are restaurants and street vendors everywhere in Krabi, however for the best pubs, bars and backpacker hostels you need to walk south for around 15 minutes to Chao Fah Alley. |
For my brief one night stay in Krabi, Boss & Benz was the perfect place to rest my head. The staff were lovely and welcoming and the room was sufficient for a short stay. The owners also offer reasonably priced laundry services and can also organise land or boat transfers to almost anywhere within Thailand. Overall, excellent value for money!
